The Littlehampton Marina Berth Holders Association (LMBHA) consists of like-minded boat owners who simply want to enjoy the pleasures of owning and using a boat. We all come from different backgrounds with different levels of experience in boating but all with a common interest “enjoying our boat”
The committee who run the LMBHA are all boat owners, they are either cruisers, fishermen or trailer boaters, they give up their time unpaid to run the association with the hope to make your boating more enjoyable. They are experienced boat owners some of whom have been at the marina for many many years and will be happy to assist you in any way they can.
There are many events arranged each year such as;
•
Fishing competitions
•
Sea based events
•
Safety events
•
Quizzes
•
Christmas party
•
Cruises in company
There are other benefits of joining like;
Discounted fuel at the marina (diesel only)
Associated Membership to the neighbouring Arun Yacht Club, which gives our members the chance to enjoy their facilities including a very good restaurant at discount prices and of course their discounted bar. Plus discounted tickets to the boat shows as well as discounts at local chandleries.
Each month we as a committee meet and we also meet with Marina Management to go through current issues and any problems you may have, on your behalf we will discuss improvements, make recommendations and assist in new projects through the good relationship we have with the Marina Staff and Management.
We would like to bring together all boat owners at Littlehampton Marina and represent you by discussing any issues you have concerning the marina for the common good and to share our experiences and advice (where it's wanted!) If you are new to boating or just new to Littlehampton, we will assist you in enjoying the local area as well as warning you of the local hazards, pointing you to the fishing marks or showing you the good places to anchor.
The LMBHA members are all current boat owners ranging in experience from complete novices to seasoned skippers. There is a huge variety of craft at the Marina which means that if anyone has a question about anything marine based there is usually someone on hand who can help from personal experience.
Our primary aim is to ensure that we can all have fun on or off the water safely with a few additional goals listed below.
The LMBHA is a non-profit making organisation and the continued success of the group relies solely on member’s donations.
As such membership is totally FREE and joining can be done either via the website landing page or by completing a simple form that can found in the Marina office, or email our secretary and he will be happy to send you one.
To join the LMBHA you must be: a current berth-holder, keep your boat in the trailer park, live in one of the lodges on site, or a frequent trailer boat visitor. If you fit into one of those please contact us and you will be welcome to join us, we do ask for just one application per boat. If you used to be one of the above and no longer fit into those categories then you are welcome to join us as an associate member.
